A Trailer for a Deltacraft

Email received: October 2014

Part of an email exchange regarding trailers for Deltacraft Islanders.

All the weight is carried down the centreline, so a dozen rollers there support the weight well.

A trailer manufacturer who is a specialist Deltacraft trailer manufacturer is TMC Australia.

The under water tail lights generally fail, but a beaut light bar is available from Whitworths Marine & Leisure with LED lights.

I always use one because it is removed with each immersion.

AFLOAT Magazine, November 2014
The above was still in my mind as I read the November issue of AFLOAT, when this item on Page 61 caught my eye.

Boats by Road - when you need to move your boat but not the usual way. The article then gave these contact details :-

I then thought that there must be other businesses that will transport Deltacraft boat by road.

On page 81 I found under 'Masters & Deliveries', Boat Transport, trailers supplied.

In January 2016 I stumbled on to this page for Johns Marine Transport a South Australian business. They specialise in Australia wide transport service for yachts, cruisers, trailer boats, caravans, horse floats, camper trailers and machinery.

How to purchase a Deltacraft Islander & Transport it across Australia
This is a link to an item on Page 6 of the Forum. It may provide information for someone thinking of moving a Deltacraft ( NOT under its own steam ) around Australia.

More on Trailer Modifications
Made some modifications to my trailer to allow quick adjust of rear rollers, but I always have trouble getting the boat to centre on the trailer when loading.
Read all about it in Page 8 of the Forum.

Trailers & Water Ballast
Do the covers for the ballast have to be opened before or after launch.
Read it in Page 11 of the Forum.
