July 2014

plate Purchased from around in the next bay with no engine three and a half months ago. The owner had purchased it from Queensland.
The builder's plate reads G118 88E. This shows that it was built in March 1988 and was the 19th Mark 2 built.

More on builders plates.

All good no leaks but I had to change gear shift lever to right hand drive today. Yesterday on launch we hadn't double checked this so it was reverse first.

Fingers crossed no wind tomorrow.

The complete Refit

Out with the old engine and in with the new power plant.
Engine out Engine out
Out with the old leaky toilet, not so easy but determination wins. Now replaced with a new portable loo, and better storage.

A new midnight blue canopy and seats.
Boat electrician in a box, best $500 we spent. Plug in neg and positive. Sweet. Canopy and seats Electrical

Sanding the underwater. We sanded the underwater line, but I highly recommend soy strip. It is green with no smell. Amazing but expensive $50 litre. This is it in action on the right.

Gunwale rubber The launch

Gunwale rubber. One of the hardest jobs. A heat gun was needed. - - Finally, launch day.
