The Rejuvenation of a Deltacraft Mark 2

Purchased from around in the next bay with no engine three and a half months ago. The owner had purchased it from Queensland.
The builder's plate reads G118 88E. This shows that it was built in March 1988 and was the 19th Mark 2 built.
- We installed new Yanmar 2GM20 twin cylinder 20hp diesel
- Complete new electrical wiring.
- Installed new windows without nasty leaky holes.
- New gunwale rubber.
- Shaft and rudder, all new.
- Decided not to use internal old diesel tank, installed portable tank with water separator.
- New seacock.
- Removed the toilet.
- Sanded underwater line
- All timber sanded and lacquered.
- New seats carpet and curtains.
- New midnight blue canopy.
- Fish finder.
- Only launched yesterday 4th July 2014
All good no leaks but I had to change gear shift lever to right hand drive today. Yesterday on launch we hadn't double checked this so it was reverse first.
Fingers crossed no wind tomorrow.
Now lets read the story.
A new midnight blue canopy and seats.
Boat electrician in a box, best $500 we spent. Plug in neg and positive. Sweet.
Sanding the underwater. We sanded the underwater line, but I highly recommend soy strip. It is green with no smell. Amazing but expensive $50 litre. This is it in action on the right.
Gunwale rubber. One of the hardest jobs. A heat gun was needed. - - Finally, launch day.
