This event is now only two weeks away and we are now able to provide a firm timetable for the day, so that you can plan your day at the Convention.
9.00am -
The organising group gain access to the hall to set up displays.
10.00am -
The doors open to the public.
Registrations /payments begin.
Collect name tags to wear,
Proceed to the hall to begin perusing the exhibits / family trees etc. on display.
Once you have found your family's table, please add any pictures or other material so others can enjoy them too.
11.00am -
Official Opening by Amanda Stone, Langridge Ward Councillor, City of Yarra.

Guest Speaker - David Dodd of the Royal Society of Victoria. David is Project Officer for the RSV, in charge of organising events for Burke and Wills 150th Anniversary. The RSV was the body that organised the expedition, chose it's personnel and raised the finance to send them on their way in August, 1860. He has news on the exciting events taking place for the commemoration, and also has some slides relating to the expedition.

Guest Speaker - Daniel Wilksch, Expedition and Official Records Officer of the Public Record Office Victoria will speak on records held by the PROV in relation to Burke and Wills expedition, and also on some of their more unknown holdings, in particular general correspondence series.
2.30pm -
Guest Speaker - Frank Leahy, Associate Professor, Melbourne University. Frank will be speaking on the methods and accuracy of William Wills' navigation.

Doors close and we start to clean-up the Hall. We will need you to leave promptly so that this can be accomplished.
