Support arms

These support arms are such a buggar! There must be a better design that still allows easy access through the hatch.

Yes - this photo is after soaking overnight in an enamel baking dish with cleaning vinegar. Still seized and so much corrosion.
Bought a new one from Road Tech Marine today.
Have had an ever-reliable chunk of pool noodle holding it open last couple of days.

I replaced mine with Whitworths Cat. No. 42002. More robust and better suited to the job.
