Just a word of caution as I've delt with many insurance companies in the past. The most recent being Club Marine. The proof is in the pudding when it comes to the insurer honoring the claim if and when its lodged. I'd be careful that they did not require a survey. In the scheme of things a survey will cost you less the $400. It's piece of mind knowing that they actually know what they are insuring and you are covered in the unfortunate likelihood of making a claim. I know they said it's not required but I'm not sure I'd want the hassle later if they turn you down.

Alan put a post about that as not everyone will see you comments here. Hopefully someone can help you.
Reply I have used Anchorage Marine for many years
14 years covering a 23ft Yacht with a couple of successful claims
3 years covering my Deltacraft with one successful claim. I obtained a survey report for the Deltacraft when I purchased.
With the yacht I had a survey when I purchased but not after that.
Hope that helps.
