I have recently purchased a Mark 2 Islander and I'm planning on upgrading the interior which is looking a bit tired.

I am interesting in painting the interior myself and was wondering if anyone could provide any feedback on their own experiences with upgrading the interiors of their own boat.

Many thanks for your help. Jennifer

I always read the Deltacraft site with much interest.

I have 1984 Mk 2 Delta Craft with 18 HP Volvo Penta. I go out with my next door neighbour who is 76 so the need for the passenger side seat is urgent. Would you please insert the following advertisement in 'wanted'.

Wanted: Passenger side seat in blue same as the helmsman seat. That is the fibreglass base with the folding seat above. It attaches with hinges to the bench seat with hinges. I am located on the central coast (Gosford, NSW)

A recently retired male wishes to obtain a Deltacraft Islander Mark 2.

He has just returned from the obligatory overseas retirement tour and finds that he has no major projects in either his house or his shed.

He intends to sit the boat in the backyard, either on its trailer or on blocks and work on it as a long-term project.

Do you know of a Deltacraft Islander Mark 2 sitting under a tree covered in leaves and with the chooks roosting on it, or perhaps there is one being used as a mooring minder near your favourite launching ramp.

He does not need you to obtain the details of the Islander just phone the lead to 0421 *** *** and he will follow it through.

But wait there is more.

He is willing to:-

He is waiting by the phone, please call now. - 0421 *** ***

A lady sent me this email
Delta Craft Islander 5.7 Mark 2 - I have inherited this boat from my late husband and am trying to sell it. Good exterior condition but needs work inside and the Lister diesel is not going and in bits in my garage. Has a tender with outboard and a long shaft outboard which he used on the boat to get around. Very cheap and would suit someone who wants a hobby. Should I advertise it on your site or do you know anyone who would love such a boat.

I sent a copy of her email to the above "recently retired" and he purchased it.

The lady advised me "he is buying a hobby for the next 10 years I think".

"Recently retired" advised I'm looking for an engine and hope she is wrong about the 10 years !

August 2013 He now advises he has obtained an engine.
