Mr. Isaac Brown, Orchardist, River View, Glaziers Bay, Huon, is a native of Cambridgeshire, England,and was born in 1822. He was brought up to farming pursuits in the old country, and came to Tasmania in 1854 in the ship "Kingston". He immediately took up land in the Huon district, and at the present time has about 8 acres down in orchard. The homestead commands an uninterrupted view of the river and district, and is situated on one of the healthiest spots in the Huon. Mr. Brown did a large trade in the nursery business some years ago, and never failed to obtain top market prices for his seedlings. He was married in 1844, in Cambridgeshire, to Miss Sarah Cadman, and in 1894 they celebrated their golden wedding. Mr. and Mrs. Brown, although both seventy-seven years, enjoy almost perfect health.
