Christmas in Australia is our summer holiday time.
No snow and cold winds for us as we take our summer holiday.
We do not have frost and snow but we do need ice.
It keeps our oysters, prawns (shrimps) and drinks cold.
Fast becoming the new Icon for an Australian Christmas is the penguin.
Cute little fellows they only live in the southern hemisphere.
Living on our southern shores and further south to the Antarctic continent.
They are an ideal bird to be used as an Australian symbol.
