G'day, Welcome to our Christmas in Australia site.

My wife and I have now enjoyed many years of answering emails which request information about the way Christmas is celebrated in Australia.

The pages have grown so much over the years that the menu on the left has become very complex. I trust that you can find the information that you need.

To assist you in your search I have introduced two sub-menus to lead you to "Carols & Songs" and also "Recipes & Menus". The sub-menus are here, watch out for them as you travel this site.

Just for Fun
Images that display an Australian Christmas are Santa's cap floating on a swimming pool on a sunny day and a 'snow man' made from beach sand with a seagull sitting on his sun hat.

In Australia, Santa can arrive in a rubber boat to hand out presents to budding surf lifesavers at the beach. Our granddaughter is in this lucky group.

    Enjoy your visit
Note :- Wikipedia describes G'day or gidday is an informal greeting meaning 'hello', most famously used by people in Australia. It seems to be an abbreviation of 'Good day'.
